Associate Analyst, Renewable Programs

Responsible for conducting various analytical and administrative processes used to deliver the state-sponsored Solar MA Renewable Target (SMART) incentive program to Eversource’s solar customers. As a key contributor of Eversource’s SMART program team, undertake key activities and tasks relating to program and solar customer tracking and workflow management; SMART application, claim, and incentive processing; customer issue resolution; and company and regulatory reporting.

Essential Functions:

Monitors the progress of Eversource’s solar customers through the SMART application and claims process. Collect, assimilate, and analyze company data to approve and advance SMART claims for final approval by the state. Informs the SMART program team of customers that are not progressing in a timely manner and helps identify and resolve their issues.
Conducts analysis to proactively identify and characterize ongoing and emerging customer and Eversource process issues. Identifies and corrects errant data.
Processes monthly solar incentive payments by preparing and reviewing various program and payment data files.
Prepares monthly invoices issued to third-party SMART program vendors.
Registers SMART solar assets with the New England Power Pool Generation Information System (NEPOOL-GIS) to create Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) on the company’s behalf.
Reviews, validates, and tracks energy credit transfer forms submitted by SMART applicants. Assists with the annual credit cash-out process.
Prepares regulatory filings that report the status of Eversource’s SMART program and the amount of energy credits being distributed to Eversource customers.
Produces key summary statistics for the solar team, Eversource management, regulators, and stakeholders.
Engages with other Eversource internal teams (distributed generation, billing, and metering) and external vendors to ensure that solar customers have a seamless and positive experience and their issues are quickly resolved.
Provides backup to SMART program team in answering and responding to high level customer inquiries.

Qualifications

Technical Knowledge/Skill:

Requires knowledge and skills in the quantitative evaluation of programs and projects using a wide range of analytical techniques such as data management, and analytics and statistical analysis; as well as research and report writing and presentation. Ability to apply these skills to achieve customer and company satisfaction.
Requires familiarity with renewable energy policy and technologies, particularly solar, and their application across all customer sectors.
Requires good communication, writing, and presentation skills; good organizational skills and attention to detail; and professionalism, commitment, and sound judgement when interacting with customers.
High level of proficiency in Excel and other data applications.
Some experience in programming (Microsoft Visual Basic, Python, SQL) and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) preferred.

Sustainability Manager

OB SUMMARY
The Sustainability Manager leads research and analysis to develop corporate strategies to ensure implementation of environmental and sustainability plans, strategies, standards, procedures, and systems designed around zero waste initiatives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop sustainability goals to help align strategies and support the corporate long-term strategic plan
Coordinate with multiple departments to improve financial viability and sustainability of recycle and warehousing departments by bringing new ideas and finding new opportunities

In this role, you will work closely with the Director to support sustainability initiatives and drive accountability and coordination for those activities across a matrixed organization which includes coordination across the organization including Corporate, Networks and Renewables businesses as well as parent company representatives (Iberdrola S.A.) headquartered in Madrid, Spain.

In this role, you will work closely with the Sustainability team to support a holistic strategy for sustainability initiatives and drive accountability and coordination for those activities across a matrixed organization. The Manager will implement continual process improvements to adapt, improve and mature our non-financial data reporting to support ESG reporting and communications.

Primary areas of responsibilities will include implementation and coordination of activities across the business related to sustainability including reporting and analysis of the company’s progress on ESG+F goals, managing the non-financial reporting process and the Sustainability Report process (including GRI, SASB, EEI-AGA standards), and ensuring efficient and effective coordination of ESG+F information and metrics across the organization. The Manager will also manage the data collection, review, and submission of key ESG surveys and ratings and driving process improvements resulting from the results. This role will also work closely with communications to ensure messaging is aligned and data is accurately presented.

Environmental Sustainability, Consulting and Support Manager

The Environmental Sustainability Line of Business is responsible for setting the strategy and leading the planning and development of environmental projects to achieve the Walt Disney Company’s 2030 environmental goals, which include emissions, water & oceans, waste, materials, and sustainable design. Sustainability Analyst

The Sustainability Analyst will be making important contributions to Quest’s continued commitment in sustainability data management and reporting. This new role reports to the Director Environmental Sustainability within the corporate EHS&S team. The successful candidate will ideally have experience in data management and analytics and an understanding of environmental accounting. This person will maintain our centralized data warehouse, coordinate collection activities, support reporting and provide overall sustainability analytics.

Manage environmental sustainability data collection across the enterprise. This includes establishing yearly data collection timelines, engaging all stakeholders, reviewing data for completeness, and preparing data for environmental footprint calculations
Work collaboratively across the organization to expand data capture, quality, and completeness
Prepare third party assurance materials, track all assurance inquires, and maintain all updates as identified during the assurance process
Collaborate with internal finance team for all internal reviews performed by Finance, Legal, and Corporate Responsibility
Support the enterprise with expansion of data governance including preparation for regulatory reporting (California Climate Rules and the SEC)
Be an internal subject matter expert on sustainability data points including Scope 1, Scope 2, Scope 3 emissions, waste, and water
Partner to analyze data identifying opportunities to address energy use, conservation of resources, recycling/ circularity, pollution reduction, waste management, transportation, education, training, and process design
Develop sustainability initiative tracking tools for measurement and verification against targets and goals
Develop dashboards and reports in environmental accounting technology and prepare related analytics
Prepare data for voluntary reporting such as corporate responsibility reports, website updates, CDP submission, EPA Green Energy Partnership
Draft and prepare reports, presentations, and proposals to communicate findings to internal stakeholders
Maintain awareness of regulatory and industry requirements related to sustainability reporting and ensuring compliance with these requirements

Required Work Experience:

Environmental Accounting, reporting frameworks, data analytics

Preferred Work Experience:

Approximately 5 years of related work experience in environmental or sustainable development field with an emphasis on data management and reporting

Knowledge:

Knowledge/experience in reporting standards frameworks (e.g., GRI, SASB, DJSI, TCFD), and/or investor-preferred evaluations such as Sustainalytics, MSCI)
Strong knowledge of global carbon accounting standards and requirements (GHG Protocol, SBTi)

Required Technical Training or Professional Licensing:

Knowledge/experience in reporting standards frameworks (e.g., GRI, SASB, DJSI, TCFD)
Strong knowledge of global carbon accounting standards and requirements (GHG Protocol)

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree (Required)
