The Cadmus Group seeks a hard-working, creative consultant to deliver projects in our Sustainability & Resilience Practice. Sustainability and Resilience directly supports government, corporate, and non-profit organizations seeking to achieve climate, energy, and sustainability goals and enhance their overall resilience. Research analysts within the Sustainability and Resilience team have varied analytic responsibilities, including research and writing; qualitative and quantitative analysis; policy review and development; data visualization; stakeholder engagement; and interfacing with clients. Research analysts support a variety of projects and tasks across climate, energy, and environment domains; for this position we are seeking someone to primarily support sustainable transportation projects. The Sustainable Transportation Research Analyst will lead policy research, qualitative and quantitative market research, evaluation, and other technical assistance related to electric vehicle and hydrogen planning and analysis. Responsibilities

Support several projects primarily involving electric vehicles, hydrogen, and/or transportation decarbonization and resiliency.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

A bachelor’s degree in transportation studies, urban planning, automotive engineering, civil engineering, economics, statistics, public policy, or related area.
A deep interest or experience in alternative fuels, sustainable transportation, transit, micromobility, aviation, or data analytics.
Interest in broader sustainability, resiliency, decarbonization planning and equity and environmental justice issues.
Excellent writing skills, particularly for communicating complex, technical material in a clear, succinct, readable manner.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, including setting priorities and adapting to changes in a time-sensitive, deliverable driven workplace.
Strong attention to detail and excellent oral communication skills are required.
Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office applications, particularly Word and Excel, and good understanding of other standard office software applications.
Candidates should be able to obtain a Public Trust, Suitability, or Security Clearance – requires US Citizenship.

Operations Sustainability Manager

At Coca-Cola Beverages Northeast, we are looking for an experienced sustainability expert to join our team as an Operations Sustainability Manager. This position will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of sustainability strategies to conserve resources, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and support regulatory reporting. Job Requirements

Sustainability Coordinator

The Sustainability Coordinator – Data & Materials is responsible for executing sustainability projects ranging across sustainable packaging, materials, data collection and analysis, and key program management such as our engagement with Sustainable Apparel Coalition and the Higg Suite of tools for standardized measurement. This role will report to the Sr. Manager, Sustainability & Climate as part of the broader Sustainability and ESG team. This role will contribute to the future of our Crocs and HEYDUDE sustainability efforts while gaining exposure to many facets of corporate sustainability and ESG.
What You’ll Do

Manage and execute complex and innovative sustainable packaging and material projects spanning functions and brands
Drive diligence in scaling and implementing identified solutions, and timely completion of projects from idea to fruition
Responsible for exploration and tracking of alternative materials, suppliers, leading sustainable packaging transition across the enterprise
Responsible for supporting sustainable materials exploration and implementation

Head of Sustainability

The Sr Director, Office of Sustainability is a senior-level position, reporting into the VP, ESG, Government Affairs and Licensing, responsible for leading 7-Eleven’s sustainability efforts. This includes developing and implementing sustainability strategies, managing sustainability projects, and monitoring and reporting on sustainability performance. The Head of Sustainability also plays a vital role in promoting sustainability within the organization and to the parent company, 7&I Holdings, and other external stakeholders.

Strategic Leadership

Lead the development and expansion of 7-Eleven’s new ESG strategy.
Lead and ensure strategic alignment of all ESG efforts, including working within the framework of ESG governance on overall short-and-long-term strategies.
Lead the ongoing implementation of all current ESG strategic initiatives while developing new initiatives in support of the strategy.
Providing budget oversight of all sustainability initiatives, including forecasting, reporting, and budget development.

Stakeholder Engagement

Build relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, non-profit organizations, and industry partners.
Promote 7-Eleven’s ESG strategy and accomplishments to a wide variety of stakeholder groups internally and externally.
Collaborate with the Legal, Regulatory, Government Affairs, and Accounting teams to monitor new regulatory requirements (i.e. SEC, state/local mandates, etc.), including changes in ESG standards (i.e. SASB, TCFD, GRI), and formulate plans for key stakeholders (i.e. Operations, Legal, Investor Relations, etc.) for consideration.

ESG Subject Matter Expert

Maintain pulse and serve as subject matter expert on global ESG landscape including issues, best practices, regulations, etc.
Ensure compliance with sustainability-related regulations (current and anticipated).
Measure and monitor sustainability initiatives for impact.
Integrate sustainable practices across all lines of business.
Work with 3rd party consultants to evaluate market risks while formulating future plans for addressing those risks in alignment agreed upon frameworks (i.e., TCFD).

Communications

Report on sustainability performance to internal and external stakeholders.
Provide input into key areas of 7-Eleven’s communication strategy (i.e., Proxy Disclosures, Press Releases, Annual Reports, etc.)
Work with key 3rd party ESG advisors and data providers (i.e., TCFD, GRESB, Sustainalytics, MSCI, etc.) in the submission and communication of the Company’s accomplishments and monitor changes in ratings that may impact the Company’s overall ESG strategy.

Team Leadership

Expand and lead the ESG team, including recruiting and onboarding additional full-time employees.
Facilitate comprehensive ESG subject matter expertise across all team members.
Formalize roles and develop performance objectives that align to strategic initiatives.
Mentor and coach the team in ongoing professional skills development.

Environmental Project Manager – Sustainability

The client for this project is for the Office of General Services.

Responsibilities

Managing environmental project work across D&C and could be a Planner, Engineers and/or Architect to meet the anticipated influx of projects related to planning, studies, and integration of resilient and sustainable solutions
Provide leadership and support to all OGS D&C client agencies with planning, contracting, implementing, and executing programs and projects relating to resiliency and sustainability.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or higher level degree in in engineering, coastal resources, management, ecology, ecosystem management, environmental health, environmental science, environmental studies, forestry, geography, geology, hydrology, marine science, natural resources, natural science, planning, public administration, public policy AND one year of professional experience in project management or the establishment of environmental programs; preparing, implementing or reviewing plans, projects, regulations or environmental impact statements; preparing sustainability or resiliency materials involving environmental matters; or preparing environmental analysis of resilient or sustainable issues.
A master’s degree or higher in a qualifying field may substitute for one year of the required experience. Envision, Well Building or LEED certification is a plus.

Graduate Summer Intern – Power Systems Stability and Renewable Integration

The candidate will be part of the Grid Technologies and Systems group within the Power Systems Engineering Center (PSEC) at NREL. PSEC supports the science and technology goals of the U.S. Department of Energy and NREL toward a sustainable energy future. The center works with the electricity industry to optimize strategies for effectively interconnecting renewable resources and emerging energy efficiency technologies in the existing electric power system. The center focuses on resolving grid integration barriers and providing improved control and management strategies for increased grid flexibility, consumer empowerment, and transportation electrification.

The graduate intern will join our cutting-edge research team to work in the broader domain of grid stability with high penetration of renewable energy resources. The candidate will work on DOE projects analyzing the impact of renewable integration on the stability and resiliency of the US electric grid. In particular, the graduate intern will work on model reduction of the US electric grid to facilitate detailed stability and resiliency studies.

The candidate should demonstrate theoretical and practical knowledge in power systems modeling, power systems stability, commercial tools such as PSS/E, and proficiency with Python programming.

Waste Reduction and Recycling Coordinator

The Johns Hopkins University Homewood Campus maintains a robust waste reduction and recycling program that includes compost and recycling across the entire campus, a surplus furniture and office supply reuse and donation program, and a Zero Waste Events program.

We are seeking a Waste Reduction and Recycling Coordinator who will be responsible for coordinating the programs and services on the Homewood Campus in order to achieve JHU’s waste reduction and diversion commitments.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

Coordinate with appropriate departments to ensure vehicles are maintained, work orders are submitted, and vehicle paperwork is up to date and on file.
Receive all recycling work orders via the Maximo work order system, communicate with campus clients, delegate tasks and close out work orders.
Manage the Hop Reuse Hub, our surplus furniture reuse program, including overseeing and tracking the collection, inventory, distribution, donation and disposal of furniture and equipment, as well as, maintaining a safe workspace.
Manage the Zero Waste Events program including receiving, scheduling, and billing event set ups via the Maximo work order system; communicating with clients to determine the type and quantity of bins needed; and coordinating with additional staff including Events & Scheduling, Custodial Services and Grounds.
Collaborate with colleagues to identify opportunities to improve existing programs and add new programs to continuously improve waste reduction and diversion, including the Office of Sustainability, Housing and Dining.
Build a strong system of accountability for performance between the Custodial Supervisors, Custodians, and the Materials Handlers to achieve the highest level of quality and consistency across the campus.
Coordinate with the Office of Sustainability to promote and cross-market Homewood Recycling programs.
Provide back up to Waste Reduction and Recycling Manager as needed including receiving, responding to and assigning recycling requests and vendor service calls.
Supervise student employees including providing direction and training to staff and managing time reporting.
Support Homewood Recycling’s various social media platforms.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

The scope of responsibility includes but is not limited to academic buildings on the Homewood Campus and may be asked to help outside of the academic community of buildings.

Energy Conservation Engineer

Arcadis DPS is seeking an experienced Energy Conservation Engineer to support our client in the reduction of utilities consumption footprint and meet sustainability goals. The successful candidate will drive the and help further refine and define the Clients utilities management strategy for TD facilities. The Energy Engineer will collaborate with facilities teams to identify, fund and implement utility consumption reduction projects. This is an exciting opportunity where the candidate will support the certification of the Client site to the ISO50001 energy management system. The Energy Engineer will engage with multiple stakeholders and partners to analyze energy use, efficiency, and performance across sites to identify improvement opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Development of Measurement and Verification Plans to IPMVP/ISO 50006 standards.

Education and Experience
