Job Summary:
We are seeking a full time Entry-Level Sustainability Specialist to provide technical expertise for projects pursuing LEED BD+C, ID+C, and O+M rating systems; WELL v1, v2, and WELL Health Safety Rating; and SITES v2.0. Both Reviewer and Consulting work for projects attempting the same rating system, as well as Parksmart, Fitwel, and Living Building Challenge will apply. We are looking for an energetic, fast learner who is detail oriented to join our growing company based in Atlanta, Georgia.

In this role, you will:

Perform in-depth technical review and analyses of building design, construction, and operations for compliance with LEED rating systems on time with high quality to gain rating system proficiency with the goal of achieving Senior status within one year.
Educate and directly engage the marketplace by effectively communicating through written, verbal, and in-person meetings with project teams and owners
Provide technical customer service support to project teams
Contribute to the continued development and increased technical knowledge of fellow LEED Certification Reviewers through collaborative teamwork
Understanding of the LEED-NC and/or WELL rating system including forms, calculations, and documentation requirements, including how to apply LEED and/or WELL criteria to the review of documentation for verification.

Essential Functions After Initial Training Period:
Contribute to a project’s pursuit of a sustainability-related certification by working as the Project Manager, guiding the project team through the entire certification process, from Strategic Development through Certification Award, possibly beyond Award for Recertification
Complete all necessary forms, annotations, and documentation required to document fulfilment of the rating system requirements
Wherever possible, EGI Project Managers do not rely on the documentation to be completed by other project team members, with obvious exceptions in the form of project drawings or engineering calculations
Perform in-depth technical review and analyses of building design, construction, and operations for compliance with LEED rating systems on time with high quality
Perform quality assurance (QA) review of work done by other Reviewers
Participate in Business Development activities such as networking, speaking engagements, and written content for marketing purposes

Regional Energy Manager

The Office of Campus Sustainability (OCS) drives institutional sustainability efforts throughout operations, research, and healthcare. This position is a part of the Energy Management (EM) team, a subset of the OCS.

The Regional Energy Manager (REM) is responsible for developing and maintaining the organization’s energy conservation program. Working in collaboration with building owners, building occupants, managers, and maintenance personnel, the REM ensures that assigned buildings are meeting the needs of occupants (faculty, staff, and students) while consuming the least amount of energy in respect to electricity, steam, natural gas, and water. The REM works with EM support staff to implement energy reduction methodologies and building system optimization. The position will report directly to the Manager of EM.

Required Qualifications*

Sustainability Coordinator

Job Summary/Basic Functions

In addition to initiating sustainability projects, programs, and activities on campus, this role will help drive resource management, including but not limited to pick up and transportation of recycling on campus, print reduction and related composting and food waste initiatives. Larger, long-term projects will include guiding university renewable energy and carbon emission reduction programs and energy savings, management and cost efficiencies programs. This person will both advocate for, demonstrate, and present improved sustainability performance for the University of Mary Washington Physical Facilities. Sustainability Coordinator

The Zilkha Center for Environmental Initiatives is pleased to announce an exciting opportunity as an entry-level Sustainability Coordinator. This is a two-year term position expected to begin in the late spring of 2024 and has a possibility of being extended for an additional year. Buildings Director

The American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE), a leading national research and advocacy organization based in Washington, DC, seeks a buildings program director. The ideal candidate will be a buildings expert comfortable with both research and policy as well as an experienced leader and manager. The buildings sector accounts for about one-third of U.S. greenhouse gas emissions, making it a key pillar of ACEEE’s multi-year efforts to cut carbon emissions and combat climate change. The buildings program director will be instrumental in helping us achieve our goals.

ACEEE’s buildings program covers a variety of topics including new construction, building codes, retrofits, and product and equipment efficiency, and works at the federal, state, and local levels. Environmental Sustainability Manager – Energy & Emissions

Environmental Sustainability Manager will lead the design and execution of strategies to deliver against The Walt Disney Company (TWDC) Environmental Sustainability Goals for the Disneyland Resort (DLR) site and adjacent properties. The manager’s primary focus is to deliver meaningful progress against our emissions goals and targets, including leading our energy efficiency, renewables, and fuels programs. The manager is also responsible for developing a team of subject matter experts across key workstreams. Sustainability Manager

As the Sustainability Manager here at Hamilton County, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive sustainability initiatives within the organization. Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Sustainable Energy, or a related field.
Professional certifications in sustainability, such as LEED AP, or equivalent.
Knowledge of environmental regulations and sustainability best practices.
Proficiency in sustainability assessment tools and software.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Project management experience is a plus.
