Energy Efficiency Program Assistant

The Energy Efficiency Program Assistant makes a direct impact on the overall programmatic goals for Ameren Illinois. This position is a trusted and reliable resource for the program, ensuring data quality to enable Ameren customer’s energy efficiency incentives and helping to find ways to improve comfort, manage usage, and reduce cost. Duties to be performed include, but not limited to review and process energy efficiency paperwork, accurately enter data into spreadsheets and database programs, track and report program activities, conduct office administrative tasks, and manage incoming workflow. Sustainability Project Manager

POSITION SUMMARY: The City of South Bend’s Office of Sustainability seeks a Project Manager to support project implementation and play an integral role in developing and implementing the City’s climate change mitigation projects. The Project Manager will accelerate and augment progress to decarbonizing the built environment and the transportation system and may also support other sustainability projects. They will work closely with the Director of Sustainability and other staff within the Office of Sustainability team to develop the Office’s strategy, and they will take the lead in executing programs that help our community achieve its sustainability goals. Program Coordinator, Energy Infrastructure Performance

The Office of Sustainability (OOS) works with partners around the city to improve quality of life in all of Philadelphia neighborhoods through addressing environmental justice, reducing the city’s carbon emissions, and preparing Philadelphia for a hotter and wetter future.

Job Description

The Program Coordinator, Energy Infrastructure Performance reports to the Program Manager, Energy Infrastructure Performance and collaborates with other members of the MEO Energy Office, the Office of Sustainability (OOS), Department of Public Property, building management teams, building controls vendors, and additional partners including other departments. This position leads the City’s Building Monitoring Program, which uses building automation systems (BAS) to understand building energy consumption and implement measures to reduce it. This position is also responsible for providing support with the City’s BAS Central Supervisor and network of BASs in coordination with vendors and consultants.

Additional duties include coordinating the creation of reports highlighting energy infrastructure condition of buildings and plans for improving facilities energy consumption and resilience. This is an opportunity to help solve complex problems, gain valuable experience in energy management, building automation system basics, and municipal operations, and to contribute to Philadelphia’s sustainability goals as outlined in the City’s Municipal Energy Master Plan.

Essential Functions

Support the City’s Building Monitoring Program.
Support contract and contractors for the program.
Organize meetings with contractors and building managers.
Support building managers in identifying and implementing operational efficiencies.
Keep building automation systems and associated inventories and software/hardware updated.
Support the development of capital projects based on data collected from program.
Work to expand the program by including additional systems and buildings.

Associate Provost of Sustainability

Oakland University is a doctoral/research-intensive public institution that serves an enrollment of over 16,000 students. The selected candidate will be the “founding associate provostâ€ of the Oakland University Center for Sustainability. As the Associate Provost of Sustainability, this leader will establish and oversee the center and play a prominent leadership role in integrating academic programs, research projects, campus operations and strategic community engagement sustainability initiatives with communities throughout the region.

The Associate Provost of Sustainability will play an integral role in developing a three-year plan that includes collaborating on a fundraising strategy with Advancement, attracting grants and other types of funding, and creating the groundwork for a “living buildingâ€ to be located on campus (including participating in the Living Building Challenge), and supported through donations. The “living buildingâ€ will be the site of sustainability education, research and a symbol of Oakland’s commitment to a sustainable society and planet. Ultimately, they are expected to put in place a foundation for the Center’s long-term financial viability.

Internally, the Associate Provost is responsible for fostering a culture of sustainability on OU’s campus by identifying, coordinating, and serving as a catalyst for units and individuals who are implementing sustainability programs; and engaging with executive campus leadership, faculty, staff, and students to foster sustainability broadly across campus units. Furthermore, the Associate Provost develops the annual sustainability planning priorities for the campus; identifies annual expected outcomes, and coordinates appropriate evaluation of these efforts, including a highly collaborative working relationship with the respective staffs in Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, facilities management, procurement, waste management, energy, transportation, food/dining and Human Resources.

The Associate Provost works closely with the Center’s Executive Committee to clarify the mission, vision, goals, and a strategic plan for advancing the Center. The Executive Committee is composed of faculty members, a representative from the President’s Office, a representative from University Advancement, a representative from Student Affairs, a staff representative, and a representative from Finance and Administration.

In public matters, the Associate Provost will be the university spokesperson for sustainability related issues, and will engage with communities in supporting the university’s community engagement principles, while promoting relevant university community expertise in sustainability. The Associate Provost will be the key contact with the Oakland County Director of Sustainability in the on-going development of the county-wide sustainability plan.

The Associate Provost will maintain an active role in teaching and research with the possibility of this position coming with tenure as Assistant Vice President or Associate Provost depending on experience. Consideration for faculty appointment will be made commensurate with teaching and research experience in a relevant school or college based on expertise. As an academic administrator, the primary role is administrative (not teaching, research and service), but there will be opportunities to engage in teaching, research and service.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Leads effort to develop, enhance, and implement the Oakland University’s Sustainability Plan.
Promotes and supports the development of academic sustainability research, teaching, and learning.
Works closely with OU facilities department and others around campus to engage in a collaborative, integrative and coherent university sustainability team.

Maintains and updates an information database to monitor emissions on campus. Measures and reports information regarding emissions through graphs, charts, and visual displays. Offers data-informed recommendations on how to reduce energy use and emissions.

Identifies key grants and funding sources to support the office and sustainability initiatives.
Work closely with OU Advancement to support fundraising strategies related to sustainability.
Attends workshops, seminars and conferences related to energy and sustainability for professional development through networking opportunities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree in Environmental Sciences, Environmental Policy or Management, Environmental Sustainability, Environmental Humanities, or related field.
Participation in The Association for the Advancement of Sustainability (AASHE), United States Green Building Council (USGBC), International Well Building Institute (IWBI), or International Living Future Institute (ILFI).
Three to five years related professional experience including development and implementation of energy efficiency, renewable energy, carbon reduction and general sustainability programs.
Preferably, academic record suitable for faculty appointment at a senior rank, and administrative experience at the department, school, or university level.
Evidence of a collaborative leadership style and ability to work effectively with faculty, staff, facilities and administration.

Sustainability Coordinator

The Sustainability Coordinator will coordinate campus sustainability initiatives and help integrate sustainability into College initiatives.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Collaborates with faculty, staff, students, administrators, and campus committees to advance College’s leadership in campus sustainability.
Coordinates institutional sustainability activities, including Campus Race to Zero Waste and Earth Week.
Supports student engagement in sustainability programs, including student organizations and individuals.
Coordinates the preparation of the College’s Sustainability Tracking and Assessment Rating System (STARS) submission; update the submission annually to keep its information current; disseminate and communicate its results; identify means and methods for continuous improvement.
Liaise with sustainability personnel at other education institutions, businesses, governments, and the community to share experience and practices and promote collaboration.
Coordinates waste reduction efforts working with grounds, dining services, campus life, and other departments on recycling and composting efforts at all campus events.
Supports campus wide engagement in sustainability programs including orientation and residence hall advisors; promote sustainability and educational collaborations.
Works with the Division of Strategic Communications and Marketing to promote coverage of sustainability at the College; produce internal and external sustainability communications.
Monitors the sustainable sustainability budget.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma and a minimum of five years of related work experience are required.

This position requires excellent customer service focus and time management skills. Organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail are essential in developing and/or enhancing departmental processes. Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Professional demeanor with the ability to interface with internal and external customers with diplomacy and tact is essential.

Excellent oral communication skills are required when providing information and responding to questions from students, parents, employees, and the public in one-on-one or group situations. Sustainability Analyst

The Sustainability Analyst is responsible for supporting the sustainability and Environmental, Social Governance (ESG) initiatives that advance Vontier’s long-term strategy. This individual will collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders on sustainability-related data management, reporting, and program implementation to further advance Vontier’s position as a sustainability leader within the Industrial Technology sector.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Collaborate with the sustainability team members as well as other internal departments to maintain Vontier’s sustainability reporting and disclosures database for annual reports (ex. GRI, CDP, DJSI, etc.) and other presentations, disclosures, and assessments for stakeholders to ensure timely, consistent, and accurate reporting
• Partner with teams across our businesses to identify and execute Greenhouse Gas (GHG) reductions for our products throughout their useful lifecycle
• Collaborate with Procurement team on activities with suppliers, including distributing and maintaining Scope 3 GHG surveys and educating suppliers on Vontier’s decarbonization goals
• Manage the Green Champions sustainability program; collaborate with sustainability team members to create learning and development opportunities for the cohort
• Support Vontier’s Sustainability Manager in monitoring sustainability performance, including energy, waste, and water metrics at manufacturing facilities

Program Manager, School Sustainability

Essential Functions and Objectives:

Spearheads development and execution of District-wide programs of sustainability policy, environmental stewardship, energy conservation, and environmental literacy through the integration of education, research, facilities and operations. Assists in the development, articulation and implementation of the District’s vision of sustainability and promotes this vision internally and externally.

– Manages the development of the Renew Our Schools Program, National Wildlife Federation’s Eco Schools Program and the US Dept of Education’s Green Ribbons Program within District schools; supports the Youth Sustainability Board and District Student’s Climate Action in the creation of climate action goals for individual schools and the District as a whole.

– Collaborates across departments and with outside third parties to develop and implement economically justified sustainability projects, initiatives and campaigns; supports and helps organize departmental and school green teams and sustainability clubs to help drive behavioral changes to an overall culture of sustainability within the District.

– Develops, identifies and delivers professional development on sustainable behaviors and works with teachers to integrate sustainability education into curriculum; develops and/or identifies sustainability curriculum for teachers to use, creating a clearinghouse of resources for teachers with clear links to State and District education standards; and supports teachers and students as an expert in sustainability to help drive behavioral changes through education, experiences, competitions and more.

SCADA Engineer

Position Overview: The SCADA engineer in Siemens Gamesa is responsible for SCADA installation, maintenance, network architecture design and sub-system support as part of the Technology Services team. The SCADA networks are used for controlling, operating and monitoring wind energy power plants. A successful candidate has the ability to work effectively and diligently as an individual engineer and team member in front of both internal and external customers and may be exposed to challenging areas of customer interface and sales strategies.

Maintenance & Support

Maintain and support the SCADA Systems in North America region.
Maintain response and resolution time for SCADA issues according to KPI provided.
Periodic checkup, track & coordinate with wind farm /Site operation /customer to do proactive maintenance of the SCADA & its sub-system.
Assist other SCADA team members, Engineering & field personnel in root cause analysis and troubleshooting SCADA & its sub-system.
Handling, configuration and troubleshooting of the wind farm networks, which includes but is not limited to the wind farm fiber-optic and Ethernet networks, switches, radios (WAN and LAN)
Prepare & maintain technical documentation related to SCADA both for internal (SCADA team, Operation) and for external (customers)

Customer Support

Should be able/willing to handle customer calls /support directly.
Support MOD/Grid regulation testing with customers

Installation & Test

Travel to wind farms for installation /upgrade of SCADA & its sub systems
Conduct /Perform Factory acceptance test & Site acceptance test for SCADA

What you need to make a difference

Master’s or Bachelor’s or associate degree in computer /Electrical /Electronics/ Communication related field of study mandatory

Must be familiar & worked previously with any industrial standard SCADA systems (preferable in wind power industry)
Strong working knowledge of Database systems – like SQL ,
Worked /has experience in using Virtual systems like Hyper V , VMware etc
Knowledge of NERC /CIP/Cyber security for power plants, preferably renewables (Wind)
Must be familiar & worked with industrial standards protocols – MODBUS, DNP, IEC, OPC
Networking experience with certification or equivalent experience
Strong Windows Server knowledge (any Microsoft cert preferable)
Basic knowledge about power systems and regulation standards

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

Working knowledge of instrumentation related to SCADA/Control systems
Programming languages – C ,C++ , CITECT etc
